Holly represents small to mid-sized companies in litigation, transactions, and regulatory compliance matters. Holly came by her practical approach through her extensive and diverse business and management experience. For more than 20 years, Holly held leadership and management positions, including for Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, Integrated Device Technologies, and Burlington Northern Railroad, as well as starting and running two of her own companies. In her various roles, Holly oversaw multimillion-dollar construction, operations, sales/production integration, customer service, and new business development.
Additionally, Holly has a diverse education background that helps her truly understand the issues businesses face. Holly holds a bachelor’s degree in structural engineering, a master’s degree in business administration (with an emphasis on corporate strategy), and a law degree (with a certificate in business law). In recognition of Holly’s legal acumen, she received numerous honors during law school—including graduating with honors in the top 10% of her class; receiving the John E. Bates Business Law Scholarship, the Richardson & Babler Scholarship for Business Law, and the Dean’s Fellowship. Holly was also recognized as a Business Law Roundtable Scholar and was an associate editor of the school’s premier law review. Finally, Holly was recognized by her law review peers for excellence when she received the Environmental Law Journal Excellence Award.
As a testament to Holly’s legal knowledge, practical approach to law, and clear communication style, she has been called on as a frequent speaker and lecturer. Holly is an adjunct professor of business law for the University of Oregon, Lundquist School of Business in the Master of Business Administration program. Additionally, Holly routinely gives presentations and continuing education seminars on such subjects as: construction contracts and claims; entity formation, transitions, and dissolution; contracts; litigation avoidance; lien and bond litigation; to name just a few.
